As an Assemblies of God church,
we believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative
    written Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16)
  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the
    Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:
    4; Matthew 28:19)
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His
    sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death,
    in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of
    the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power
    and glory to rule a thousand years (John 1:1)
  • In the blessed hope—the rapture of the Church at Christ’s
    coming (Titus 2:13)
  • The only means of being cleansed from sin is through
    repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ ((John 14:
    6)
  • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for
    personal salvation (Titus 3:5)
  • In water baptism by immersion (Matthew 28:19)
  • The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of
    the human body in answer to believing prayer (I Peter 2:24)
  • The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given
    to believers who ask for it.
  • In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling
    the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Galatians 5:16-25)
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to
    everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation
    (Revelation 20:11-15)

The mission of Christ Fellowship is to build disciples that honor God
through prayer, worship, and service to the Lord Jesus and the people of
Suburban Maryland.

We will be a church family that:

  • Is dependent upon the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit as we
    engage in all ministries.

  • Equips each member of the body for ministry through teaching,
    discipleship (intentional relationship), and involvement in small
    groups.

  • Is committed to individual and corporate prayer and fasting.

  • Wholeheartedly worships God in our personal lives and in every
    service.

  • Ministers to others through benevolence to the poor and sick, active
    personal evangelism, and support of missions both in our community
    and abroad.

•  Every person has the right to a presentation of the gospel at his or her
level of understanding.

•  Every person needs a biblical moral compass to guide and protect him or

In a Word

Christianity can seem quite complicated at times, but we believe it
can be summarized with one word.  Knowing humanity's penchant
for messing things up, Jesus came to make things simple for us.  
He gave us only two commandments to follow.  First, love the Lord
with all your heart and second, love your neighbor as yourself.  That
is it!  In one word, RELATIONSHIPS;  relationship with God and
relationships with people.  Although it may be simple, it is a lofty
goal for which to aim.  We admit, we fall short of that goal quite
often, but we band together, encourage and support one another,
and keep growing together in our relationship with the Lord.  He is
an awesome God!  We invite you to join us in getting to know Him.  
You won't regret it.
